João Paulo Matos

João Paulo Matos has over 30 years' experience in the financial sector (retail banking, private equity) and in management consultancy (strategy and operations), respectively as a non-executive director, executive director, financial director, analyst and as a senior consultant and director. He has worked mainly in Portugal, the UK and France.

He currently acts mainly as an investor, leveraging his knowledge of client management, operational and technological challenges, bringing his multinational experience together with his knowledge of the economic fabric in Portugal.

João Paulo helps companies transform to meet the challenge of the digital revolution - at customer, operational and technological level. Other interests: investing in Portuguese start-ups.

From 2021 to 2024, he was an integral part of the Insurtech Working Group of the now defunct AFIP – Fintech and Insurtech Association of Portugal.
